I'm Nate Brown, a bad artist who can only paint cigarettes. I'm also a fiction writer and editor who initially wrote this bio in the third-person (ugh). I live in Baltimore and paint in front of episodes of Star Trek (how good is Strange New Worlds, BTW?) or a horror movie— it doesn't even have to be a good one.
I teach in the University Writing Program at Johns Hopkins and sit on the boards of Writers in Baltimore Schools and Good Contrivance Farm, both of which are excellent literary nonprofits here in Charm City.
My writing and editing stuff lives over on this exceptionally clunky website.
